Tao Nyeu was born in Akron, Ohio, grew up in Niskayuna, New York, and now lives with her husband in Los Angeles, California. She received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in NYC. Her first book, Wonder Bear, was her thesis project there, and her newest book, Bunny Days, was inspired by another of her SVA projects (a version of the "Dirty Bunnies" story). She also cites The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes (by Dubose Heyward and Marjorie Flack) as inspiration for the bunnies in this book.
