Johanna Kerby lives on a small farm in West Virginia with her husband and four children. She considers herself to be a "pig farmer," raising pigs with her family for 4-H and FFA projects. They also have several miniature dachshunds. Her journey as an author began after her miniature dachshund, Tink, raised a premature piglet they named Pink, along with a few other foster puppies. Tink's love and kindness inspired Kerby to share with others and get the message across to children that it is okay to be different from the rest of your family. She can't imagine life without books!
