Help donate 5,000 new books to school libraries across the United States as part of the NEA Foundation's Books Across America program.
Book Donation GoalTo help support public school libraries in economically disadvantaged communities, We Give Books has joined forces with the NEA Foundation, an independent public charity created in 1969 and sustained by contributions from educators, corporate sponsors, and other supporters of public education.
The NEA Foundation offers grants and programs that support educators' efforts to close the achievement gaps, increase classroom innovations, provide professional development, and salute excellence in education.
Mission
The NEA Foundation’s Books Across America program has been specifically developed to help support the development and expansion of libraries in economically disadvantaged public schools through periodic donations of books, grants and facility improvements. Support is awarded annually through an application process that is open to all public school educators who meet the eligibility requirements below.
Impact
During the current school year, the NEA Foundation will award $1,000 library grants to 44 schools public elementary-, middle- and secondary- across the United States. This grant will be matched with an equal value in books provided by We Give Books.
Goal
This year, We Give Books will be providing more than 5000 books to the NEA Foundation’s Books Across America program.
Thanks to your efforts, communities from coast to coast will have brand-new fiction and non-fiction titles to add to their school library shelves.
