NEA - Books Across America

Read a free children's book online today and help support public school libraries in economically disadvantaged communities. We Give Books has joined forces with the NEA Foundation, an independent public charity created in 1969 that offers grants and programs that support educators' efforts to close the achievement gaps, increase classroom innovations, provide professional development, and salute excellence in education.
The NEA Foundation and its Books Across America program has been specifically developed to help support the development and expansion of libraries in economically disadvantaged public schools through periodic donations of books, grants and facility improvements. Support is awarded annually through an application process that is open to all public school educators who meet the eligibility requirements.
During the current school year, the NEA Foundation will:
- Award $1,000 library grants to 44 schools public elementary-, middle- and secondary- across the United States
With your reading support, We Give Books will be providing more than 5,000 books to the NEA Foundation and its Books Across America program which will help advance student achievement and prepare each of America's children to learn and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
