Bug Squad members teamed up to set two new World Reading Records!

But Squad

Read for the Record We Give Books readers from across the country and around the world joined the Bug Squad this fall to show their support for early childhood literacy. Inspired by Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad, the 2012 Jumpstart’s Read for the Record book written by David Soman and Jacky Davis, this free online club helped to build awareness of the importance of childhood literacy through reading, giving, and sharing on We Give Books.

With the help of Bug Squad members, we’ve set two new World Reading Records! Nearly 2.4 million people around the world read Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad on October 4, 2012 to set the overall World Reading Record and more than 369,000 people read the online version on WeGiveBooks.org to set a new Digital Reading Record!
